Matt Montgomery

Matt is a JHS Class of 1978 graduate and former Fightin’ Indian QB, WR, and DB. He attended Texas A&M University where he is Class of 1982. Matt is the owner of Montgomery Financial Designs since 1982, a comprehensive financial planning and advisory business, and is a Registered Investment Advisor and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Matt began broadcasting Fightin’ Indian games in 1982 where he has been doing color commentary from the sidelines for 37 years. Matt has served Jacksonville by being a member of the Board of Trustees for the Jacksonville Independent School District (1995-2004) and Chairman of the Jacksonville Education Foundation (2011-2017). He is also a former Division 1 college basketball official. Matt is married to Kelly (JHS Class of 1980) whom he has been married to since 1982 and has two children, Rachel Montgomery (Class of 2007) and Morgan (JHS Class of 2004) who is married to Anthony Hallum (JHS Class of 2003), and two grandchildren, Brinlee and Benson.
Arron Swink
Play by play
Arron Swink enters his seventh season handling play-by-play duties for the Jacksonville Fightin’ Indians in 2019. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, he has been a fan of JHS football since the glory days of the 1990s. Arron got his start on the mic as a public address announcer for Jacksonville youth baseball in the late 90s and early 2000s. While in college at UT Tyler, he worked as the Patriots’ P.A. announcer for most sports, as well as providing color commentary for baseball games alongside former JHS play-by-play man Reid Kerr. This season, Arron is looking forward to bringing fans all the sights and sounds from Jacksonville’s newly-renovated Tomato Bowl. Arron is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas and currently works as an Assistant County Attorney for Cherokee County. He is a past president of the Cherokee County Bar Association. Arron lives in Jacksonville with his wife, Krystal, and stepdaughter, Lillia.
